About this tool

The Hashtag Formatter converts hashtags between a single inline row and a one-per-line list, in both directions. Everything runs locally in your browser, so the words you paste never leave your device and nothing you research is saved to a server. The tool is built for people who need usable output quickly: creators drafting the next video, bloggers planning a month of posts, marketers grouping phrases before writing briefs, and small business owners who want more descriptive ways to talk about what they sell. Instead of guessing which phrasing a reader might type, you start from a topic you already understand and expand it into a wider, better organised set of phrases you can edit, keep or discard.

How it works

Existing hashtags are matched with a Unicode-aware pattern; if none are found, plain keywords are converted into valid hashtags. Duplicates are removed either way. There is no hidden scoring model and no third-party data feed behind the results, which means the same input always produces the same output. Every phrase you see is assembled from your own words plus a curated vocabulary of modifiers, question openers, audience qualifiers and structural patterns that appear naturally in real searches and social captions. Because the logic is deterministic you can safely re-run a topic, tweak one option and compare the two lists side by side.

How to use it

  1. Enter your topic, keyword list or text in the input panel on the left.
  2. Adjust the options so the output matches the platform, intent or format you are writing for.
  3. Press Generate and review the grouped results on the right.
  4. Copy everything, copy a single line, or download the list as TXT, CSV or JSON.
  5. Use Reset to clear the workspace before starting a new topic.

Example

"#one #two #three" becomes three separate lines, and pasting those lines back returns the inline row.

Who it’s for

  • Turning a caption tag block into an editable list
  • Preparing a tidy inline row for posting
  • Deduplicating a tag set collected over time
  • Converting plain keywords into valid tags

Tips for better results

  • Work in list mode while editing, inline mode when posting.
  • Duplicates are removed automatically, so paste freely.
  • Punctuation inside tags is stripped to keep them valid.

Limitations

The formatter cleans and reshapes tags; it does not evaluate their relevance. SocialKeywords does not display search volume, cost-per-click, keyword difficulty or trend percentages, because inventing those numbers would be misleading. Treat the output as a well-organised starting point: keep the phrases that match what you can genuinely write about, remove the ones that do not, and validate anything commercially important against a data source you trust.
