About this tool

The Keyword List Merger combines two or three keyword lists into one clean set and shows which entries appear in more than one list. Everything runs locally in your browser, so the words you paste never leave your device and nothing you research is saved to a server. The tool is built for people who need usable output quickly: creators drafting the next video, bloggers planning a month of posts, marketers grouping phrases before writing briefs, and small business owners who want more descriptive ways to talk about what they sell. Instead of guessing which phrasing a reader might type, you start from a topic you already understand and expand it into a wider, better organised set of phrases you can edit, keep or discard.

How it works

Each list is parsed independently, concatenated, then optionally deduplicated, while a separate pass compares lists A and B to surface the overlap. There is no hidden scoring model and no third-party data feed behind the results, which means the same input always produces the same output. Every phrase you see is assembled from your own words plus a curated vocabulary of modifiers, question openers, audience qualifiers and structural patterns that appear naturally in real searches and social captions. Because the logic is deterministic you can safely re-run a topic, tweak one option and compare the two lists side by side.

How to use it

  1. Enter your topic, keyword list or text in the input panel on the left.
  2. Adjust the options so the output matches the platform, intent or format you are writing for.
  3. Press Generate and review the grouped results on the right.
  4. Copy everything, copy a single line, or download the list as TXT, CSV or JSON.
  5. Use Reset to clear the workspace before starting a new topic.

Example

Merging a client list of 120 phrases with your own 90 reveals 34 shared entries and a combined set of 176.

Who it’s for

  • Consolidating research from several people
  • Comparing your list against a client's brief
  • Checking how much two exports overlap
  • Building one master list for a project

Tips for better results

  • Clean each list before merging for the most accurate overlap.
  • A large overlap suggests you can stop researching.
  • Keep the merged list as your single source of truth.

Limitations

Overlap detection compares exact text, so differently worded but equivalent phrases are not matched. SocialKeywords does not display search volume, cost-per-click, keyword difficulty or trend percentages, because inventing those numbers would be misleading. Treat the output as a well-organised starting point: keep the phrases that match what you can genuinely write about, remove the ones that do not, and validate anything commercially important against a data source you trust.
